Today, the gardens continue to flourish under the careful stewardship of the Merritt family, preserving Iris’s legacy while embracing a future centered on conservation, education, and sustainable tourism. To conserve one of our most valuable natural resources, the gardens are sustained through an extensive rainwater catchment system and efficient irrigation methods that nourish the landscape while minimizing water waste.
